Sporting Trials (sometimes known as “Mud Plugging”) is one of the oldest recognised motor sports in the UK. The idea is to get the Trials Car as far up a steep and muddy slope as possible, negotiating tight turns and undulating terrain, whilst making sure that the car does not stop going in a forward motion at any point. To achieve this the main ingredient is not speed but skill and co-ordination. With the natural ability of the car taken for granted and with our instructor sitting beside you, it will not be long before that seemingly impossible climb may be achieved. Please note, this is a winter sport and is best done when the conditions are wet. If conditions are not suitable for the Sporting Trials cars to run the activity will be swapped for either the Apache Rally Cars or the Quad Adventure.

Regular Saturday dates throughout the year. - Participant Guidelines
Minimum age is 11. If you have an under 11-year-old you would like to include in this activity please check with the centre when booking. No previous experience required. Minimum height is 4’11”; maximum height is 6’4”. Maximum weight is 20 stone. Hay fever sufferers please note: the pollen count round the course can get very high in summer. - Weather
The weather shouldn’t affect this experience, but any cancellations are for safety. Please call the venue if in any doubt. - Duration
Lasts around an hour and a half. - Numbers on the Day
Share the experience with up to three other keen motoring enthusiasts. An instructor is with the group at all times. - Dress Code
Dress for the outdoors with shoes suitable for driving. Wrap up warm if it’s cold. - Other Info
All our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against our huge range of experiences. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the experience. There’s a maximum of 4 people per Sporting Trials Car.
