    Enter the exciting and fascinating world of falconry with this bird of prey day in Warwickshire. Based in Hatton Country World, meet and get hands-on with these statuesque, powerful and graceful birds and learn all about the work that goes into training and taking care of them. With the guidance of an expert falconer, explore some of the more advanced techniques of bird handling on this comprehensive full day experience. Expect to meet hawks, falcons and owls on the day. Whilst owls are not considered true falconry birds, they tend to be a very popular species to fly or handle. Learn about weight management, feeding the birds and record keeping, before heading out to the Warwickshire countryside and seeing the birds in action first-hand – a truly enjoyable day.

    • Availability Description
      Seven days a week all year round, excluding Christmas.
    • Participant Guidelines
      Minimum age 8 (under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult). Although the site is wheelchair-friendly, with hard paths, some aspects take place on uneven ground.
    • Weather
      Please call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the experience is cancelled because of bad weather it will be re-booked for an alternative date.
    • Duration
      Expect to be at the venue for approximately six hours. Please arrive at 10.15am for a prompt start at 10.30am. Feel free to spend the remainder of the day exploring Hatton Country World.
    • Dress Code
      Dress for the outdoors and wear wellies or walking boots. Bring a change of clothes if the weather is bad. Don’t forget your camera and/or a pair of binoculars if you have them.
