Ever wanted to learn more about glorious birds of prey? This introduction to hawking and falconry is the perfect opportunity. Your experience starts with a tour of the aviaries, where you’ll get close to different species, including a European eagle owl. Experience the speed of the hawk, the cheek of the vulture and the silence of the owl. Receive some tuition from an expert handler and handle some birds to get familiarized. Next it’s time to be a falconer and fly some birds, watching them soar and dive through the air and eventually coming into land on your glove. Finish off the experience by taking a walk with the hawks. Refreshments are included.

Between two and four dates each month, both weekdays and weekends. Dates fill up quickly, so book several weeks in advance and allow even longer for popular summer weekend dates. - Participant Guidelines
Minimum age 11. The experience involves some walking, Underfoot is level apart from the Hawk walk, most abilities can be catered for. - Weather
Cancellation will only occur in extreme weather conditions and in that event, would be re-booked for an alternative date. If in doubt please call the venue to confirm. - Duration
Your experience will last for approximately three hours. - Numbers on the Day
Up to five people take part, with an accompanying falconer. - Dress Code
Dress for the outdoors, with wellingtons or walking boots. Bring a change of clothes if the weather is particularly bad. - Other Info
All our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against our huge range of experiences. Why not bring along a camera and/or a pair of binoculars if you have them? And it would be a shame not to catch one of the flying displays that take place throughout the day.
