Learn the art of falconry on a lush green farm in Essex with this introduction to bird of prey falconry. After a tour of the bird of prey centre, get close to different types of birds and learn what makes each one different to the next. An experienced handler will then tutor in how to handle the birds before giving you a bird to take care of and get yourself comfortable with. After all that, get ready for the main event, trying falconry. Go a bit medieval – with flying a bird to the fist, have it land on your glove and wonder at it’s impressive skills. This experience will leave you with a new found respect for Britain’s top predators.

Seven a days a week all year round, subject to availability. Dates fill up quickly, so book several weeks in advance and allow even longer for summer weekend dates. - Participant Guidelines
No minimum age, but children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Disabled customers and wheelchair users are welcome (please advise us at point of booking). - Weather
The weather may affect this experience. Please call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If your experience is cancelled due to the weather it will be re-booked for an alternative date. - Duration
Your experience will last for approximately three hours and runs from 12pm – 3pm - Numbers on the Day
Held in groups of between four and ten people. - Dress Code
Dress for the outdoors, with wellingtons or walking boots. Bring a change of clothes if the weather is particularly bad. If you have a camera and/or a pair of binoculars please bring them along. - Other Info
